Casey

Founder & Operations Manager

Casey has always had a strong passion for working with children and animals. Originally from the Northern Rivers, she spent 15 years in early childhood education, running Family Daycares and Bush Kindys while also volunteering and foster caring for many dogs. After moving to Margaret River in 2022 with her puppy Olive, she realised the West was best.

Casey started Furry Fit to further explore her passion for animals and to exercise Olive with other dogs, fast forward a few years and Furry Fit has grown into a thriving dog community. Starting with just 3 dogs once or twice per week, and the occasional house and dog-sit, Furry Fit has expanded to groups of 6 dogs, 3 times per day, 5 days per week, with back-to-back house sits and now also boasts two private off-leash adventure locations, a pet transport service and two Furry Fit vehicles to service the Southwest and beyond!
After operating solo for a year, her clientele grew rapidly, leading her to hire our passionate walker Mitch to lead our walks and in-home sitting in Margaret River. He’s been a ‘pawfect’ fit for our crew, and all the dogs adore him!

Mitch

Off-Leash Adventure Leader/In-Home Sitter

After a decade-long career as a chef, during which Mitch used his culinary skills to travel for a fair few years, he discovered Margaret River and decided he wanted to call it home. His lifelong passion for dogs has been unwavering and spent many years dedicated to dog walking and sitting simply because of his love for these animals. He grew up with a Kelpie and now has a wonderful companion named Scooby Doo, who is a gentle giant. Mitch’s journey to Margaret river led him to connect with Casey at Furry Fit, and the rest is history! He’s now a group leader/ dog walker of our Margaret River Pack and is also studying his Certificate in Dog Handling and Dog Psychology and couldn’t be happier!
